If you’re dreaming of the perfect Montreal staycation, Le Loft Saint-Laurent might just be your ideal home away from home. I spent four nights here in May 2025, and this bright, design-forward loft exceeded every expectation! Located in what is often voted one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world, this airy, luxury escape sits right in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, with endless bars, dining, shopping, and activities at your doorstep. The host is incredibly kind and helpful, and we had so much fun enjoying this stunning loft as a base to explore our own city. Here’s my full review and guide to Le Loft Saint-Laurent!
Disclosure: This stay was gifted. As always, all opinions and experiences shared are entirely my own.
Location: In the Heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal
Tucked above the iconic Bar Darling on Saint-Laurent, this loft puts you in the centre of one of Montreal’s most vibrant districts. The Plateau Mont-Royal is known for its bohemian spirit, historic row houses, colourful murals, and creative energy. Nearby Mile End, part of the Plateau borough, was recently ranked by Time Out as the 5th coolest neighbourhood in the world – famous for its amazing food scene, vintage shops, and lively culture. From this location, you’re steps away from legendary spots like Schwartz’s Deli, St-Viateur Bagel, and the leafy trails of Mount Royal Park. Whether you’re grabbing brunch, thrifting, or heading out for a sunset picnic, you’re in the perfect place to explore.

Getting There & Parking
We used Communauto to get to the loft from Griffintown, which made the trip super easy. Street parking is generally available nearby, and after 6 p.m., most Plateau streets offer free overnight parking. While there, we loved walking around or using BIXI’s to explore.
Check-In & First Impressions
We arrived at the loft and entered through an unassuming doorway right beside Bar Darling. Check-in was completely contactless thanks to a smart lock and easy-to-follow instructions. Upon arrival, we found a beautiful handwritten thank-you card along with a Silk n Soak shower steamer, plus a few business cards from local small businesses.
As soon as we stepped inside, we were completely blown away. The loft felt at least three times the size of our apartment, with high ceilings, beautiful design details, and an open-concept layout that made the space feel both luxurious and welcoming. The layout includes a spacious dining area, lounge, work station, two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room.
We looked out directly onto Saint-Laurent Street, with some of the area’s most iconic murals just outside our window. Floor-to-ceiling windows brought in amazing natural light.
Living Area & Entertainment
The open-concept living area had a beautiful wooden dining table, a bar cart with crystal glasses, and not 1, but 2 cozy lounge areas with two plush couches and ottomans.
There were throws, soft pillows, and great mood lighting. The standout feature? A home cinema projector that connected to Apple TV! Every night we curled up in the main lounge to watch movies on the massive projection screen. It made every evening feel like a private theatre night.

Bedrooms: Stylish, Spacious, and Comfortable
The loft includes two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to six people. There’s one queen-sized bed, one double bed, and a sofa bed in the living room.

We stayed in the main bedroom, which featured a massive closet with hangers and drawers, bedside tables, a large mirror, smart TV, and the comfiest bed.

We had no trouble unpacking multiple suitcases (I am seriously not one to pack lightly) thanks to the ample storage space! The large windows continued here too, offering tons of sunlight and a direct view of one of the neighbourhood’s most colourful murals.

Bathroom: Modern and Functional
The modern bathroom included a great shower with excellent water pressure, plus fluffy white towels and thoughtful extras like razors, cotton buds, Tide pods, and more.

I loved how functional and well-stocked everything was. I even used the Silk n Soak shower steamer to turn the space into my own mini spa experience.

The washer and dryer were tucked into a separate laundry space, and every room had its own laundry hamper

Kitchen: Fully Equipped for Longer Stays
One of my favourite areas was the massive kitchen, especially as someone who loves to cook!

It featured a large island and was stocked with everything you could need: a Nespresso machine with a variety of pods, milk frother, full-size fridge, dishwasher, five-element stove and oven, and high-quality cookware.

I loved that it included things that are often overlooked in BnB’s like placemats, chef’s knives, and even a great set of crystal glasses! On top of that, the kitchen was stocked with thoughtful basics like milk, juice, coffee, tea, sparkling water, and soft drinks.

I cooked breakfast every morning and a couple of dinners in the evening. It was seriously such a dream kitchen, especially for entertaining.

Work Desk & Amenities
There’s a proper work desk, strong Wi-Fi, and central air conditioning throughout the space. I worked for two of the days we stayed there, and the desk easily supported my laptop, mouse, keyboard, and external monitor. For anyone looking to mix business and leisure, this loft is definitely workcation-ready.
