Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing their 80-Minute Spa Diva Signature Facial, and every moment of the experience left me feeling pampered and revitalized. Join me as I recount my spa journey and explore the luxurious details of my afternoon at Spa Diva.
Booking Experience
I made my reservation for Spa Diva online three weeks ahead, specifically aiming for a Saturday slot. The booking process was a breeze, with plenty of available slots to choose from. I opted for the 80-Minute ‘Spa Diva Signature’ facial, described as a “traditional European facial tailored to individual skin needs” which promised to address common skin concerns and included extractions to detoxify pores, restoring the skin’s pH balance, and leaving it clean, hydrated, and radiant. The day before my appointment, Spa Diva called to confirm and securely obtained my credit card information, streamlining the process. From start to finish, the booking experience was seamless.
Pre-Spa Experience
The spa is located in Les Cours Mont-Royal, a high-end shopping mall in downtown Montreal and was easy to find on the second level of the mall. As I entered the spa, I was surprised at the expansive layout! It spanned the entire second level, with multiple check in areas manned by several staff members. I arrived 20 minutes early, and was guided to the waiting lounge, a serene retreat tucked away from the hustle and bustle from the mall.
The lounge itself was spacious, filled with an array of comfy recliners, day beds, and armchairs, each adorned with blankets for added coziness. The lounge is centered around a pond with a waterfall, making it so easy to relax listening to the trickling water and tranquil spa music. Upon arrival, a friendly attendant offered me a choice of water, coffee, or tea – I opted for the latter. They then presented me with a box containing eight different tea varieties to choose from, which was such a lovely touch! I noted that other guests were able to change into fluffy robes and slippers, although I was not given this option – possibly as I was getting a facial and not a massage/ treatment that would require this, which is understandable. Taking an extra 20 minutes to unwind in the lounge worked wonders in calming my mind and putting me in a serene and zen-like state prior to my appointment.
Pro Tip: Arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of your appointment to ensure you have plenty of time to relax and fully immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of the waiting lounge. Bring along a book and embrace a digital detox while you wait!
My Treatment
Right on time, Olivia, my wonderful esthetician, greeted me warmly as I stepped into the treatment room. The ambiance was just as soothing as the waiting lounge, with soft lighting and tranquil spa music enveloping the space. The treatment was on a heated massage table, which was a lovely touch on a chilly spring day.
We kicked off our session with a thorough consultation, where I shared my skin concerns and goals. With my combination skin prone to redness, I wanted to tackle post-winter dryness, exfoliate my pores, and also unwind from the busy week prior. Olivia walked me through each step of the customized facial, explaining the products she’d be using from Guinot SkinCare, Image Skin Care, and Physiodermie Products—all available at Spa Diva.
The facial began with a gentle double cleanse to rid my skin of any makeup and impurities. After each cleansing step, Olivia used a hot face towel to wrap my face to fully remove the cleanser, while the steam also opened up my pores (this was one of my favorite elements). With my skin prepped, Olivia applied an exfoliant paired with a divine 15-minute massage targeting my shoulders, neck, and face. The facial massage would enhance circulation, reduce tension and promote lymphatic drainage. By this point, I was so relaxed, I was almost drifting off!
We moved on to extractions, where Olivia skilfully spent 15 minutes addressing any blackheads and whiteheads. Thanks to the thorough cleansing beforehand, the discomfort was minimal and Olivia made sure to check in frequently to ensure I was comfortable! Following the extractions, she applied a soothing toner, instantly calming my skin.
Then came my first mask, the Image Skincare Ageless Total Resurfacing Mask. This mask boasts a blend of alpha and beta hydroxy acids, alongside gentle buffing micro-crystals, to remove dead, congested skin. As the mask worked its magic for 10 blissful minutes, Olivia treated me to another massage, this time focusing on my shoulders, arms, and hands. It was pure bliss, and I was again nearly falling asleep. The mask was removed and my skin was prepped for the next mask: the Vital C hydrating enzyme masque. This vitamin C mask packed with antioxidants would brighten my complexion and dissolve dry, dull skin with fruit enzyme exfoliants.
To wrap up the session, Olivia treated my skin to a serum, eye cream, and SPF-infused moisturizer, gently massaging each one in. To end the facial, a hydrating lip balm was applied, a nice final touch to the treatment. As the session came to an end, Olivia took the time to recap our consultation, explaining my skin type and offering valuable product recommendations and treatments for next time. She even jotted down the suggested products for me, available for purchase at the front counter. With my spa experience complete, I lounged in the waiting area, feeling utterly zen and rejuvenated. My skin looked and felt glowing and radiant, just as I had hoped and I already wanted to book in for another facial!

The personalized care provided by the esthetician during the treatment further enhances the overall experience. Though the price may lean towards the higher end, the exceptional quality and value you receive turn your spa visit into a luxurious self-care retreat, making it a worthwhile splurge.

As it was a spring day, I walked to & from the spa, as it is just a short 30 minute walk away from where I live.
